Thank you ~ VBS 2019 was a great success!

One of our Bible Study authors related to us that the most import thing you will ever do for Jesus is helping someone lay the foundation of their faith.  YOU served Jesus this week with all your love and prayers.  Here’s something to think about – maybe you would like to be a part of this journey of faith and serving next year.  Our next VBS begins June 22, 2020.  Plan now to be a part of this wonderfully and exciting kind of serving our Savior.

On being relevant…

“I’ve become just about every sort of servant there is in my attempts to lead those I meet into a God-saved life. I did all this because of the Message. I didn’t just want to talk about it; I wanted to be in on it!” (1 Corinthians 9:22-23 from the MESSAGE)

The Spirit of God

“I will pour out my Spirit on every kind of people: Your sons will prophesy, also your daughters. Your old men will dream, your young men will see visions. I’ll even pour out my Spirit on the servants, men and women both.”
(Joel 2:28-29 from the MESSAGE)

Good Day, Bad Day

“On a good day, enjoy yourself; On a bad day, examine your conscience. God arranges for both kinds of days so that we won’t take anything for granted. — When life is good, enjoy it. But when life is hard, remember: God gives good times and hard times, and no one knows what tomorrow will bring.” (Ecclesiastes 7:14 – the Message & New Century Version)

Lent – Encountering Jesus

“Our faces, then, are not covered. We all show the Lord’s glory, and we are being changed to be like him. This change in us brings ever greater glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
(2 Corinthians 3:18)

When we live God’s way…

“But what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.” (Galatians 5:22-23 from THE MESSAGE)
